The U-393( )/U is a cable mounted plug, with 12 fixed, solder pin (male) terminals and features a right angle environmental strain relief adapter body that can be positioned at any of 12 different angles to suit particular installation requirements. Typical application is on the “Radio End†of antenna matching unit power and control cables. In most applications; the U-393( )/U replaces the U-289( )/U. Mates with the U-291( )/U.
The connectors in this category are a series of quick connect/disconnect, medium power [environment resisting] plugs and receptacles as specified in MIL-C-55243(EL). The connectors are intermateable on a specific basis (see below), and feature water tight, polarized, bayonet coupling connector bodies and 12 fixed solder (pin and socket) terminals.
